Who We Are
Welcome to Wessex Quiltmakers
At Wessex Quiltmakers, we are dedicated to preserving the art of quilting in Winchester. Our club brings together passionate quilters to share ideas, learn new techniques, and
create beautiful works of art.
We would like to welcome you to Wessex Quiltmakers – one of the longest established quilting groups in the country. We are a small but lively group who welcome new members as well as encourage, support and, we hope,
continue to inspire
our longer-standing members.
We meet at King Harold Court Community Room, King Harold Court, Christchurch Road, Winchester SO23 9SA on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month except August. Our start time is 7.30pm and we usually finish at 9.30pm.

Wessex quiltmakers club we are dedicated to preserving the art of quilting in Winchester. Our club brings together passionate quiltmakers from the Winchester area quiltmakers Winchester to share ideas, learn new techniques, and create beautiful works of art.
Additional Information
Each term we have a programme of evening events which are a mixture of talks, mini-workshops, show-and-tell and a variety of inspirational evenings. We also run daytime workshops and where possible we try to organise these so that they are on a Saturday although this is not always possible.
Some of our members form house groups and work together on projects or simply enjoy the support of working in a small group on a regular basis. Work from our members is regularly exhibited at the annual Festival of Quilts at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
On a historical note Wessex Quiltmakers hosted the first AGM of the Quilters Guild in April 1980 at King Alfred’s College, Winchester.
